On the eve of the new year last December(2012), I received a phone call that was a welcomed surprise. It was none other than Redbull Thre3style winner and International DJ, DJ M-squared. He called me in reference to a rebrand from his current logo. I was delighted (and honored) to work on his Identity. With this design, we wanted to gear it towards high-end brands but keep it relate-able to the many diverse consumers of music. I took a minimalist approach to keep the design inline with many of the smartphone screen resolutions. The final execution overall is an edgy, sleek, friendly, free form, enigmatic, design that reflects the type of experience M-squared provides. Check out the logo at DJ M-Squared’s site.
